Before thanksgiving break we created some food and turley themed artworks!
Kindergarten students created a color wheel turkey collage. First graders created a delicious meal collage. All pieces of their artwork were hand drawn, cut, and pasted together. A faux painting (using markers and water) of a plate and silverware completed their work. Second and third grade also did faux painting with markers. They created delectable pie themed artworks inspired by artist, Wayne Thiebaud, who turned 100 years old this November! Fourth grade learned about culture and how all cultures enjoy different foods for the holidays. They created a meal collage from paper to represent their own culture. Fifth graders followed a series of self led lessons to complete their own cornucopia collage. I hope everyone had a restful break! I am so thankful for my students' enthusiasm and creativity this holiday season. The art we create together makes Plato a better place to be every day. Mrs. Kurasz
