It’s Pumpkin pandemonium at Plato!
KG-Kindergartners learned about pop artist Romero Britto who uses bright colors and bold patterns to create eye popping designs! We created our own Romero Britto inspired pumpkins with warm or cool color patterns. 1st-First graders learned about impressionist artist Vincent can Gogh and created a Starry Night inspired pumpkin patch. 2nd- Second graders studied the work of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, the polka dot queen! They created pumpkins riddled with polka dots like Yayoi. 4th- Fourth grade learned of positive and negative space in an artwork. They created a positive negative space artwork to depict a daytime and nighttime pumpkin patch. Enjoy these photos of some of the students completed works! -Mrs. Kurasz
